This blog is for people who live, or want to live, an active lifestyle despite their diagnosis of epilepsy or other neurological issues. Most often we have needed to make changes in how we participate fully in our sport of choice.
I was diagnosed with bilateral temporal lobe epilepsy in the summer of 2013 at age 68. Many trials with different meds and dosages. I'm still unable to drive, but I been able to continue to ride my bike everywhere. I am still riding 12,000 miles a year: commuting miles, touring miles, training miles, Randonneuring miles up to 200 miles a day, clear my head miles. I believe riding helps me manage my seizures.
Come share your triumphs and struggles with others who are already, or who want to live, an active sporting life
